Official Collaboration with National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to Develop Imagine Leather
Komodra Business Group just signed the Agreement with the Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional RI (BRIN RI) to develop a sustainable alternative to animal leather π€.
Fashion is the 4th most polluting industry (after food, housing, and transport) and animal leather is part of this problem due to processes such as tanning, that uses toxic chemicals like Hydrogen Sulphide and Sodium Sulphide. It also requires 10-18 litres of water for each kg of raw animal skin, and the water that comes back to the environment is contaminated π·
Komodra Business Group aims to empower sustainability through innovative solutions. Our project started 1 year ago during the Global MBA at EDHEC Executive Education & MBAs in Niceπ¨βπ
We are Ahmad Ridwan Fauzi, Federico Porro, and Muhamad Ryan Fauzan and in the next weeks will tell you more about our history, values and vision πβ¨
